Deluxe training courses in Berlin Neukölln
Users in Neukölln can now enjoy deluxe training facilities.
Archicon won the contract to furnish a large space in Berlin Neukölln for its customers Kiez Büro and Spacebase with stylish and functional furniture. This significantly raises the standard in the field of training furniture in terms of functionality and sustainability.
About the Kalle 101 property:
„The former department store at Karl-Marx-Straße 101 with its associated multi-story car park on Donaustraße – directly opposite the Neukölln public swimming pool – is currently being given a new lease of life. After standing empty for a long time, this well-known neighborhood magnet from the 1970s is finally becoming attractive for contemporary uses.
The original existing structures are being recoded, with generous openings allowing light and air to enter and creating open, flowing spatial relationships, sightlines, and pathways. This creates a unique, contrasting atmosphere, transforming the Neukölln original into a modern creative cosmos.“
An important part of Kalle 101 is the attractive and light-filled office space, which offers a variety of room options and uses. Spacebase, a booking platform and broker for meeting, workshop, and training rooms, has entered into a partnership with co-working provider Kiez Büro to open modern training rooms for IT training in the public sector in Berlin in April 2025. When it came to furnishing the rooms, Spacebase turned to the furniture agency Archicon to ensure that the rooms were equipped with high-quality tables and office swivel chairs for the training participants. Archicon was able to solve this task with very short lead times using furniture from its partner companies Dencon for height-adjustable tables and Tonic Spaces for refurbished office swivel chairs, and Spacebase was completely satisfied with both the quality and price.
Spacebase project manager Ashley Mindorff comments:
„Working with Archicon was extremely pleasant and efficient. What particularly impressed me during the course of the project was the solution-oriented approach, the quick response, and the consistently professional way of working. In addition, the price-performance ratio of the Dencon tables is truly unbeatable—we hadn’t actually planned to equip entire rooms with height-adjustable desks, but with this quality and the impressive design at a fair price, we simply couldn’t resist.“
The 192 height adjustable Dencon tables are characterized by Danish functionality paired with manufacturing precision and high-quality aesthetics at very competitive prices. For the office and training areas at Spacebase, table tops with a stable MDF core, a durable HPL panel, and a stylish recessed edge were selected. Together with the programmable control unit and the highly variable height adjustment range of 65–131 cm, the tables can meet even the highest demands of everyday use.
As a solution for ergonomic office swivel chairs, Fenyx, a partner specializing in refurbished furniture for large-scale projects, professionally refurbished chairs from manufacturers Sedus and Interstuhl and made them fit for a new location. A total of 324 chairs were delivered by Archicon for Spacebase and provide training participants with comfortable seating for many hours of concentrated work. In this way, the project saved both costs and CO2 by avoiding the production of new furniture.
André Flinterhoff from Archicon comments:
„Working with the Spacebase team was very enriching for us. I am very impressed by the speed and clarity with which decisions were made in the project. This results in efficiency that greatly accelerates processes, massively shortens overall project times, and, in the sum of individual decisions, leads to extremely high productivity in the workflows with outstanding results for customers. The collaboration was therefore also a lot of fun. I am particularly pleased with Spacebase’s & Kiez Büro’s high level of satisfaction with the furniture supplied.“
